Trapiche River Resort is set in the magical lush sloping grounds of one of the most peaceful and serene atmospheres Costa Rica has to offer. Stroll along the charming winding paths that lead you over the resort grounds to the beautiful river 'Poro', and be captivated by the so picturesque line of waterfalls that direct the tropical birds through the central valley. Trapiche River Resort is conveniently located 25 minutes from the Juan Santamaria International Airport and is central to a wide variety of trips, tours and other areas of interest in Costa Rica which we will be more than delighted to arrange for you. Our unique location at 3000ft above sea level boasts its own microclimate - giving very moderate temperatures day and night year round, with less rainfall than other parts of Costa Rica during the green season.

Each one of our brand new fully furnished bungalows were designed and luxuriously appointed by the owners who are pilots from one of the World's biggest Airlines. Since they have traveled extensively internationally and are used to top accommodations while away from home, the caliber of the bungalows is reflected in the splendor of the interior layout, lavish furniture and pure attention to detail. Each home away from home has its own private Rancho/Gazebo with stone BBQ and cozy outdoor furnishings where you can rest, sleep, read a book, or perhaps have a wine during the day or in the evening when the monumental trees - which create a completely new dimension, are illuminated. Upon arrival, all of our guests receive a complimentary welcome basket containing fruit, bread, milk and eggs etc. and a bottle of Trapiche Wine to make life a little easier after a long journey.

Atenas, considered the world's healthiest town being only ten minutes away, and Grecia, considered the world's cleanest town being only five minutes away, is where you will find all the shops, stores, bars and restaurants you may need while Trapiche River Resort is kept completely free of noise pollution.
